Reading through Dzone last night I came across two interesting links.

The first link being 13 top Visual Studio keyboard shortcuts, I'm not sure how crazy you guys are at using keyboard shortcuts but I rarely touch the mouse!!

The second link is something more techy for you kids!!
Nice post on asp.net and ajax forms.

Before 'Pointing devices' - keyboard shortcuts were the only way to navigate through a program. Anyone else worked on Supercalc123 for Dos. \sa = save as (possibly - it's been a few years!).

Keyboard shortcuts for programs like VS2008 are never as comprehensive as I would like them to be. Though for optimum speed I do like to use a mouse.

One thing about websites I would like to see more of and thats keyboard shortcuts (yeah I know about tabindex). It would have to be an industry standard, cos I'm not going to re-learn my shortcuts for every website I visit......

yeah man. i used to code C in Vi on Sco Unix. man what a blast that was. Green text on a black screen was really good for your eyes

You felt so in control when you knew all the shortcuts, copy previous line, copy next 5 lines, paste

Can't remember a single one off the top of my head though :¬(

Haha It's like the 'F' keys. F12 - thats nothing - I've worked on keyboards that go up to F24, and each one of them has two functions associated (EG. 'shift F1' and 'F1'), and you would have to know most of them to get the data in.

In fact having thought about this subject for 24 hours - I want a touch screen with a myriad of shortcuts! Maybe one day.
