Google Wireless Transcoder

July 4, 2008 09:59 by gareth

As mobile/pda browsing technology becomes more mainstream (think smartphones, 3G, network coverage, WAP), we're noticing that more and more hits/page views are coming from wireless devices.

To test your pages/website as a wireless device would see it - check out this fantastic tool: Google Wireless Transcoder

Our Creative Jar website looks like this on a wireless device, which I can confirm is almost identical to the Sony Ericsson K850i which uses a WAP based browser. Smartphones (example: Nokia N95) will see a miniature version of the XHTML website.

Enjoy testing!
