I don't mean in a getting punched in the face sense, although I am sure some braniac is working on a deeper level of interaction between the watcher and their 3D channel/movie, but the pain of headaches and eye ache.
Even makers of 3DTV give you a warning against prolonged exposure, with extra care taken for pregnant women, the elderly and anyone tipsy, they also recommend that children under 6 should not watch it at all.
That, to me, sounds a bit dodgy - what will happen if you watch it too much? Will your perception of the outside world change, will your brain deteriorate? Doctors have told people with weak eye muscles to refrain from watching 3D as it can strain the muscles around the eyes, which eventually will stop the eyes focussing properly.
Sony has said that it expects 3D playback devices to be in 40 percent of UK homes by 2014, are people truly aware of what they are letting themselves in for - or are they blindly following another fad?
What are your thoughts?
